HYC Page Twelve

When I got to the club today around one PM, I noticed they were pulling up pilings again.
There had only been around six or eight left.

By the time I arrived at the North Dock area, only two were left.
The loop is ready to lasso one now.

The cable loop has been positioned around the piling . The weight ball is being moved to the side and the loop is allowed to slide down the piling.

The pulling begins.

Out it comes!

Adding it to the pile.

The eye of the lasso is held up by a piece of wire which pulls open once the
loop is placed around the piling and pulled to the side.

The last piling has been lassoed and the loop is drawing tight.

The last piling of the old docks has been pulled.

This is the base of the hoist for the small boats. The I-Beams have been driven in to stabilize the hoist and to increase the maximum load. It appears the workers are getting ready to tie them into the existing base.

Looking at the club again from the North Dock area, you can see that the bulkheading is progressing, however slowly. The end is about even with the junior shack.

The bulkhead as seen from the dinning room deck.
