Camping   Local campgrounds include Gosnold’s Hope Park ((757) 850-5116) about 5 miles from the club, and Newport News Park ((757) 888-3333).  Both of these facilities are city parks; therefore, camping arrangements must be made during business hours.

Directions from Nearest Major Highway

From I-64 West Take the 2nd exit after the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, the Woodland Rd exit (Exit #267).  At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a left on Settler's Landing Rd.  Cross the bridge over Hampton Creek, travel past Air & Space Museum on the left, turn left at Bridge Street. Go about 1/2 mile, the Hampton Yacht Club will on the left, behind the big cannon.

From I-64 East   Take the Hampton University/Settler's Landing Rd exit (Exit #267).  At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a right on Settler's Landing Rd.  Cross the bridge over Hampton Creek, travel past Air & Space Museum on the left, turn left at Bridge Street. Go about 1/2 mile, the Hampton Yacht Club will on the left, behind the big cannon.

Parking

Parking on HYC property is strictly limited to tagged HYC member vehicles only. Please follow parking accommodations provided by regatta organizers; parking rules will be enforced. Ample street parking is available within a short walking distance.

Spectator Boats

Spectator boats strongly encouraged due to limited shore-viewing options. There is no on-site ramp available for launching spectator boats at Hampton Yacht Club. The City of Hampton Sunset Creek public boat launch is the closest available ramp.
