HIGH SCHOOL SAILING - A GROWING SPORT
Known as Virginia Interscholastic Sailing Association, VISA has helped local high schools organize highly competitive regattas in the Spring and Fall. These teams are also a part of Mid-Atlantic Sailing (MASSA) and compete with 54 member high schools from Virginia north to New York.
Many of the schools award letters for the sport, with Poquoson being the most recent local addition, which provides a high level of support for their team.
Many of our HYC Juniors are avid participants in this program.
