Camping   Local campgrounds include Gosnold’s Hope Park ((757) 850-5116) about 5 miles from the club, and Newport News Park ((757) 888-3333).  Both of these facilities are city parks; therefore, camping arrangements must be made during business hours.

SLIPS and DOCKING INFORMATION:

• One Design Keel Boat Launching and Trailer Storage. One design keel boats can be accommodated at the HYC via electric hoist. Trailer storage space will be provided.
• Hampton Yacht Club (757) 722-0711 is SBRW headquarters for all regatta activities .

  Thursday, May 29, Regatta Check-in (6:00pm) and Skipper's Meeting (7:00pm).   Post-race parties, award presentations, live entertainment, and more on Friday thru Sunday, May 30-31, June 1, at HYC under the Regatta Tent.   There may be some slips/rafting available at HYC on a first-come-first-served basis. For docking information, contact Phil Briggs at (757) 244-5477.
• Bluewater Yachting Center (757) 723-6774 has slips available (reservations possible), is a full service Marina with the local favorite Surf Rider Restaurant and Bar, on the grounds.  Launch service available.  Ask to speak with Frances or Ian to make reservations and for details.
• Joy's Marina (757) 723-1022 has slips available, is directly across Hampton Creek/River from the Hampton Marina Hotel and just up and across the river from Hampton Yacht Club.  Ask for Archie.
• Hampton Marina Hotel (previously the Radisson) (757) 727-9700, is about a three block walk through Olde Hampton to Hampton Yacht Club.  There are rooms available, but probably not many slips.

PARKING

Parking on HYC property is strictly limited to HYC members only.  Ample street parking is available within a short walking distance.

DIRECTIONS FROM NEAREST MAJOR HIGHWAY

From I-64 West Take the 2nd exit after the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, the Woodland Rd exit (Exit #267).  At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a left on Settler's Landing Rd.  Cross the bridge over Hampton Creek, travel past Air & Space Museum on the left, turn left at Bridge Street. Go about 1/2 mile, the Hampton Yacht Club will on the left, behind the big cannon.

From I-64 East   Take the Hampton University/Settler's Landing Rd exit (Exit #267).  At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a right on Settler's Landing Rd.  Cross the bridge over Hampton Creek, travel past Air & Space Museum on the left, turn left at Bridge Street. Go about 1/2 mile, the Hampton Yacht Club will on the left, behind the big cannon.
