Three days of fantastic sailing in the southern Chesapeake Bay for the Black Seal Cup! Once ashore grab yourself a Goslings rum drink at the Goslings Leisure Lounge. Feel the vibes of Bermuda as a steel drum band plays Thursday evening as you enjoy some conch fritters. Friday will feature a reggae band presented by Quantum Sails Norfolk and on Saturday Evolution Sailmakers bring competitors the Billy Joe Daniel Band featuring Bobby Blackhat! Whether you are looking for top one design competition, PHRF/ORC rating, or a cruising fleet experience, great live entertainment and Goslings Rum, Southern Bay Race Week is the pursuit of leisure!

The signature event of southern Chesapeake Bay partnered with Goslings Rum to offer three days of competitive racing hosted every year by the Hampton Yacht Club. Following the weekend after Memorial Day kick off this fantastic regatta with a welcome party featuring marine industry vendors and relax with a rum drink at the Goslings Leisure Lounge upstairs to the sound of steel drums. Racing is Friday through Sunday with an 11AM first warning.
Southern Bay Race Week runs three circles of competition. Keelboats race in the PHRF or ORC Class for A,B, C, NS, and one circle is offered solely for the Cruising discipline. The One Design Circle is located off of Hampton Flats, conveniently close to the club for classes that are not motor assisted. Courses feature drop mark windward/leeward and the SBRW Cruising open course racing in the bay.
